You accept these Terms by signing the Beta Agreement

Access to Ghost Biographer during the closed beta requires that you receive an invitation from Cornerstone Tech, Inc. and execute the accompanying GhostBiographer Beta Invitation and Non-Disclosure Agreement (the “Beta Agreement”) via DocuSign. Your signed Beta Agreement is the controlling contract between you and Cornerstone Tech, Inc. for participation in the beta.

These Terms supplement the Beta Agreement and cover topics that the Beta Agreement does not separately address — in particular acceptable use, SMS messaging, and limitation of liability. Where these Terms and the Beta Agreement conflict, the Beta Agreement controls.

What you may and may not do with the application

Ghost Biographer is provided for your personal, non-commercial use in drafting your own autobiography or, where you have been authorized as a gifter or trusted contact, in supporting another person’s autobiography. You agree not to:

• Upload content that is unlawful, infringes a third party’s rights, or that you do not have permission to share — including photographs, documents, or biographical content about other people without their consent where such consent is required by law or common decency.
• Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise exfiltrate the application’s data models, prompts, or AI outputs for purposes outside your own use of Ghost Biographer.
• Use Ghost Biographer to harass, defame, or harm another person, or to generate content that promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activity.
• Resell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer your access to Ghost Biographer to a third party. Your account is for you (and where applicable, the gifted recipient or trusted contacts you have designated).
• Interfere with the application’s operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts, or probe its security in ways that exceed normal use.
• Use Ghost Biographer in violation of any applicable law, including export-control regulations, sanctions, or privacy laws.

Cornerstone Tech, Inc. may suspend or terminate access to Ghost Biographer at its discretion when it believes in good faith that this section has been violated. Where suspension is for a non-emergency reason, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to remedy the issue or export your data first.

How we contact you, including by text message

By creating an account, you consent to receive transactional email messages from Ghost Biographer at the address you provide — including authentication, account-status, security, and administrative messages. These cannot be opted out of without closing your account, since they are necessary for the application to function.

SMS (text-message) communications are opt-in only. We will not send you a text message until you have affirmatively opted in. You may opt in at registration, in your Account Settings, or by replying with the keyword START to our toll-free number once it is operational. The verbatim consent text presented to you at the point of opt-in is:

SMS volume is currently estimated at 1–4 messages per active user per month; actual frequency may vary. We will not use SMS for promotional or marketing purposes during the beta. Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply; Cornerstone Tech, Inc. is not responsible for those rates.

You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message we send, or by toggling SMS off in your Account Settings. Reply HELP to any message to receive our brand identifier, customer-support contact, and opt-out instructions. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes; we use it solely to deliver the messages you have opted in to receive.

What you can and cannot recover from us

Ghost Biographer is provided “as is” during the beta. While Cornerstone Tech, Inc. takes reasonable care to operate the application reliably and to protect your data — see the Privacy & Data FAQ for specifics — we do not warrant that the application will be error-free, available without interruption, or fit for any particular purpose beyond what is described in our public materials.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cornerstone Tech, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of Ghost Biographer. Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid Cornerstone Tech, Inc. in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred United States dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages; in such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be lawfully limited.

Where disputes are resolved

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any action arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Ghost Biographer is the state and federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms, together with the Beta Agreement and our Privacy & Data FAQ, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cornerstone Tech, Inc. with respect to the application.
